What are CBD patches?

A topical CBD patch, also known as a “transdermal CBD patch”, is similar to a plaster or band-aid. CBD patches are made using healing ingredients, such as CBD, to provide localised relief from discomfort or pain.

At Prym Health, our CBD patches contain 0% THC and are non-GMO, vegan and halal. Each box contains 30 patches and the patches can be used daily as required.

Is CBD safe and legal?

CBD is classed as safe and well-tolerated by the World Health Organisation. You can learn more about the WHO’s perspective on CBD products here.

Taking CBD products is legal in the UK as long as it is sold in line within the guidelines and regulations set out by UK Law.

How do I use a CBD patch?

You can use our topical CBD patches for targeted pain relief.

CBD patches are very easy to apply. Simply peel the backing from the CBD patch and place the sticky part on a hair-free area of your body where you are experiencing pain or discomfort.

Popular areas to apply CBD patches are arms, shoulders, wrists and legs.

How do CBD patches work?

Each CBD patch contains 16mg of Cannabidiol (CBD), as well as turmeric and menthol, which are anti-inflammatory products to help soothe aches and pains.

When placed on the desired area, your body’s heat activates the patch. Once activated, the CBD patch delivers localised pain relief as CBD is absorbed slowly into your bloodstream.

What are the benefits of CBD patches?

CBD patches are best suited for localised CBD benefits. If you want to use CBD products to treat aches or pains on your body, then you may find using topical patches may provide quicker and more effective relief in the target area.

Using CBD patches can also be more convenient for those with busy lifestyles as you only need to change the patch once per day, rather than taking regular doses of other CBD products depending on the dosage you require. This means you can apply your CBD patch in the morning and go about your day with targeted pain relief.

It’s worth noting that there are many types of CBD products, and each has benefits depending on why you are taking CBD. If you want to learn more about CBD products and the benefits of CBD, check out our beginner’s guide to CBD.

Why should I use CBD patches instead of CBD Oil Drops?

There are many reasons why using transdermal patches has an advantage over taking CBD Oil Drops as your CBD product of choice. Here are a few of our favourites:

  1. A CBD patch provides a slow release of CBD over a 24-hour period.
  2. Patches deliver an accurate dose of CBD every time, unlike CBD Oil Drops, which can easily be under or over-consumed.
  3. CBD patches are waterproof and discreet, so you can leave a patch all day without giving it a second thought.
  4. If you don’t like the taste of CBD products, using patches can provide benefits without the taste.

How long does one patch last?

One CBD patch will slowly release CBD over 24 hours before needing to be replaced.
